Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] (“we”, “us”) for your use of the Whispers of Faith app and website. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Your account

You need an account to use the app. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country), give accurate information, and keep your sign-in method secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app.

2. Free access and Premium

The Bible is free. Reading, searching, bookmarks and highlights do not require payment.
Introductory free access. Each new account receives 7 days of full access to Premium features at no charge, or 14 days when joining with a valid invite code. This free access is not a store trial: it does not convert into a paid subscription, and nothing is charged when it ends. Afterwards, Premium features are locked unless you choose a plan. Free access is limited to one per person; we may withdraw it if it is abused, for example by creating repeated accounts.
Subscriptions. Premium is available as a monthly or yearly subscription, purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account.
Cancelling. You can cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, or from Profile → Subscription in the app. You keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Where local law gives you a right to a refund, that right is not affected.
Special offers, such as a discounted first year, apply only as described when offered and renew at the regular price afterwards unless cancelled.

3. Invites and rewards

You may share your personal invite link with people you know. Friends who join with a valid code receive 14 days of free access. When a friend subscribes, you earn badges and design unlocks. Rewards have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and may be changed or ended. Please do not spam, post invite codes in bulk, or create accounts to earn rewards; we may remove rewards that were obtained this way.

4. Scripture and content

Bible texts in the app are in the public domain or used under free licences, and are credited in the app. Verse topics are adapted from OpenBible.info under the Creative Commons Attribution licence. Prayers, photography, designs, the Whispers of Faith name and logo, and the app itself belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may share verse cards made in the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

5. Acceptable use

Please use the app respectfully. Do not misuse it, interfere with its operation, attempt to access other people’s data, reverse-engineer it except where the law allows, or use it for anything unlawful.

6. Spiritual content, not professional advice

Whispers of Faith offers devotional content for encouragement and reflection. It is not a substitute for pastoral care or for professional medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact local emergency services or a crisis line right away.

7. Changes and availability

We work to keep the app available and improving, but we may change, add or remove features, and the app may sometimes be unavailable. If we make a change that materially reduces what a paid subscription includes, we will tell you in advance.

8. Ending these terms

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Cancelling an account does not cancel a store subscription automatically; please cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The app is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

10. Apple-specific terms

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, you agree to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement in addition to these terms. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support, and has no obligation to provide maintenance. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of [COUNTRY/STATE], without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live. Disputes will be handled by the courts of [JURISDICTION], unless your local law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
